Matt Seattle Band - REIVERS OF THE HEART - DFM CD 0102

The band came together in 2008 for a cameo performance at Denholm Folk Festival and enjoyed it so much that we did some more gigs and recorded this CD. Lewis and Frazer, youthful nomads following the Muse from Tweedside to Tashkent, Donald Knox, harmonic alchemist of Teviotdale, and Matt Seattle, gnarled wizard of the Border pipes, weave a sonic carpet to transport you from the Eildons to Elfland. These Reivers will not lift your cattle, they will lift your Heart and give it back to you. Reprogrammed. As Thomas the Rhymer said - would I lie to you?

Donald Knox - guitar, mandolin
Lewis Powell-Reid - accordion, mandolin, bouzouki
Matt Seattle - Border pipes, mandolin
Frazer Watson - darabuka, frame drums, tapan

Recorded by Paul Rae in the lee of Pipers Knowe, Peeblesshire
